We travel in the month of May.

Rain is minimal in this month. Day temperatures are warm to very warm and dry whilst evenings are comfortably mild. This makes for pleasant camping. The rainy season is well and truly over. Consequently, availability of water is contracting to major waterholes and this will concentrate the animals for wildlife viewing. May is also fairly free of strong winds which together with dust could otherwise be a problem for cameras.
